InteriorTek Inc worked with LEEDs type Projects, even before LEEDs was begun and we’ve been influenced by the voluminous scientific research which has driven our company’s policy decisions modifying our extensive product line. We will not promote, sell or install products mode of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) or associated products containing Volatile Organic Compounds.

    The valid health and environmental risks are overwhelming and numerous. The continued use of products containing Volatile Organic Compounds in public areas is irresponsible. The Off gassing of these Carcinogenic chemicals has increased Lung Cancer, Reproductive Failures in men, and several other associated health related issues that have no medical cure. Specifying the use of these products around children and young adults is not acceptable but we see them knowingly promoted in old specifications on a daily basis, i.e. PVC vertical slats.
